SS501′s Kim Kyu Jong meets his crush Oh Sae Jong
SS501‘s Kim Kyu Jong met his ideal woman, actress Oh Sae Jong, for the very first time.
The singer made a guest appearance on the January 3rd episode of SBS ‘Strong Heart‘, and could not hide that he was more nervous than usual. When asked about his ideal type in the past, Kim Kyu Jong had always boldly confessed that it was actress Oh Sae Jung.
“I confessed that I liked her for the very first time about two years ago, and I actually ran into her in the streets shortly after. It totally took me by surprise, and it was then that I realized why fans are so shocked to run into me by chance. This is the first time I’ve seen her since then,” he said with a bashful smile.
The actress who also made a guest appearance on ‘Strong Heart’ expressed her gratitude towards the singer who has consistently selected her as his ideal type.
When the two were suspected of dating in the past, actress Oh Sae Jung remarked, “A lot of people actually think that way. I went to get a colonoscopy once and the nurse asked me, “You’re the idol group member’s girlfriend, right?””
The two then shared an embrace which created a more romantic atmosphere on set, and they raised a few eyebrows after denying that they would keep in contact with each other after the show.
Girls’ Generation members Jessica and Yuri are working hard to study acting
Girls’ Generation members Jessica and Yuri are busy studying up on how to become a great actress.
The two girls will be trying their hand at acting for the very first time, and have been receiving acting guidance and advice from a veteran actor.
A representative from their agency SM Entertainment remarked, “An experienced veteran is teaching the girls the very basics of acting every rookie should know – character analysis, vocalization, and breathing. The other singers trying their hand at acting also learn the basics, and Jessica and Yuri are no exception. The girls are working hard as to not disappoint their fans.”
Girls’ Generation promotions for their third full-length album came to a close in December of 2011, and the girls will be focusing on individual promotions for the beginning of 2012, giving Jessica and Yuri a chance to develop themselves as actresses.
Yuri has been cast as the female lead ‘Anna’ in the new SBS drama, ‘Fashion King‘ due to air in March, while fellow member Jessica has also been cast as actor Lee Dong Wook‘s past lover in KBS 2TV‘s ‘Violent Romance‘ which is scheduled to air sometime this April.
It’s the current trend in the entertainment industry for idol singers to make their debut on the small-screen, and Jessica and Yuri are jumping on the same bandwagon. As soon as the news of the girls spread, people in the industry have been showing their interest and are curious to see how the girls will perform.
Drama staff members themselves also have high expectations. According to ‘Fashion King’ outsourcing production company ‘Lee Kwan Hee Productions‘, Yuri proved that she was more than capable of displaying various emotions on cue, and they’re not the least bit worried about her, despite Yuri being a rookie actress.

Who’s debuting and making a comeback under the ‘Big 3′ this year?
2012 is shaping up to be quite the formidable year, as several comebacks and debuts are already being lined up. Labels spent much of last year taking the K-Pop wave to new heights, so what do the ‘Big 3′ have in store for 2012?
–
For the past several years, SM Entertainment focused on bringing their brand concert, ‘SMTOWN‘, to countries all over the world. While they moved as a family in 2011, the agency plans to take individual groups for concerts overseas.
Super Junior is currently on their ‘Super Show 4‘ world tour, which will continue through the States, Europe, and South America. TVXQ will be kicking off their Japanese arena tour starting January 18th, while SHINee prepares to tour seven Japanese cities starting April 25th.
f(x) is also planning for their Japanese advancement in the first half of the year.
The most anticipated release from SM is their global boy group, EXO. Set to simultaneously debut in both Korea and China, the boys will be promoting all throughout the year to aptly show everything each member has to offer.
YG Entertainment, meanwhile, has two new groups scheduled for debut this year.
Representatives revealed, “Just like the debut of Big Bang and 2NE1, the new groups will take on a color different from their peers.”
Their girl group is scheduled to debut in the first half of the year and is comprised of a few known names like ‘Superstar K2‘ contestant Kim Eunbi.
Details on their boy group have yet to be announced, but many are already predicting that they’ll have a music and fashion style that will shake up the industry.
The label is also holding a YG Family concert in Japan on January 7th, 8th, 21st, and 22nd. Big Bang will have their official Korean comeback in late January or February, right before their ‘Big Show‘ concert in March.
Se7en will be simultaneously releasing a Korean and Japanese album mid-January.
JYP Entertainment plans to focus on the development of their artists globally, as opposed to debuting any new talents.
2PM, the Wonder Girls, and miss A will focus on their overseas promotions to solidify a position for themselves in the States, Japan, and China.
The Wonder Girls will begin their American promotions with the release of their movie, ‘Wonder Girls at the Apollo‘, while 2PM focuses on their Japanese promotions. The label has already set up JYP Japan to fully aid their advancement, and the boys will be performing at the Nippon Budokan over the summer. miss A will also be focusing on their Chinese promotions.
Like their other ‘Big 3′ counterparts, JYP Entertainment is also in the process of debuting a new boy group. The members are currently still being discussed, as is the debut date.

When asked whether she would like to pursue acting instead of voice dubbing, she said, “Instead of delving straight into acting, I’d rather prepare myself thoroughly step by step. I personally don’t think I’m ready so I’ll challenge myself in the future when I feel that I am.”
Commenting on his role of ‘Johnny’, Taemin expressed, “His shy personality is a lot like mine. I was very nervous in the beginning, but this was a great experience that I learned a lot from. If there is another opportunity, I’d love to try it again.”
